On Dec. 03rd, 2025 (Oct. 14th, LC), good men and believing women inside and outside HCMC returned to Hoang Phap pagoda to attend a periodical penitential rite.

The Monks of Hoang Phap pagoda in HCMC, Junior Thích Tâm Mẫn, Abbot of Tan Tay Thien Phap temple, Da Nang had a dharma talk named “Practice in ourselves” to all Buddhists before the rite.

Worshiping to the Buddha in a cultivation life not only has spiritual significance but is also a practice. Amidst the turmoil of life, each time bowing down before the Buddha is both an expression of respect and the mind's silence moment to be enlightened and return to the pure truth within. Some people worship Buddha and only see His sacredness, while others clearly see their own mistakes that stills in their hearts, depending on each individual’s root and condition. However, the deepest meaning of repentance is still to help us recognize and transform the defilements within ourselves.

We can reduce our arrogance, rely on the Buddhas’ power to calm our afflictions on each repentance rite, which is a chance to let go of attachments and regain our original peaceful mind. Thanks to that, the practitioner's mind is clear, recognizes mistakes, knows how to correct bad things, and knows how to transform the inner self every day. That diligent practice and transformation is the most profound way for a disciple to show gratitude and repayment to his Master and the Buddhas.
